Led by founding member Joe Queer (Joe King), they are famous for blending the high-speed energy of the Ramones with the melodic harmonies of The Beach Boys and 1960s bubblegum pop. Their music is characterized by fast, power-chord-driven guitar riffs, snotty vocals, and humorous, often juvenile lyrics about girls and beer. Nasalrod is a genre-defying art-punk and post-punk quartet based out of Portland, Oregon. Famous for their aggressive, frantic, and theatrical live shows, their complex style blends elements of noise rock, progressive metal, and punk.
